SRINAGAR Nike Air Force 1 Off White , Indian-controlled Kashmir, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Four militants were killed in a fierce gunfight with Indian troops Monday in restive Indian-controlled Kashmir, police said.
The militants, according to police, tried to storm a paramilitary camp in Sumbal village of Bndipora, 40 km north of Srinagar city Nike Air Force 1 Shoes , the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir.
"Early today at around 4:00 a.m. local time militants tried to enter a paramilitary camp of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Sumbal, Bandipora with the aim to carry out a (fidayeen) suicide attack. However, the attack was foiled just outside the camp, which resulted in killing of four militants," a senior police official posted in Bandipora told Xinhua.
According to police, immediately after the militants attempted to enter the paramilitary camp Nike Air Force 1 , reinforcements of Indian police and army were rushed to the spot to take on militants.
The stand-off continued for around two hours, police said.
Police officials said they have not suffered any causality or damage in the attack.
"All the policemen and paramilitary troopers are safe and our side has not suffered any damage during the attack," the police official said.
The identity of the slain militants was being ascertained. However, preliminary investigations carried out by the police suggest the militants are foreigners.
Region's Police Chief Shesh Paul Vaid said police recovered four assault rifles and some ammunition from the slain militants.
On Saturday two army troopers were killed and four others wounded after militants attacked their convoy in Qazigund town of the region.
Last month eight militants, including a top commander of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant outfit, were killed in two separate gunfights in the region. Following the commander's killing Cheap Air Force 1 , authorities have to impose restrictions for four days to prevent clashes and protests.
Militant groups are engaged in a guerrilla war with Indian troops in the region since 1989. The militants often carry out attacks on police and army in the region. Gunfight between the two sides takes place intermittently.
Kashmir, the Himalayan region divided between India and Pakistan, is claimed by both in full. Since their independence from Britain, the two countries have fought three wars, two exclusively over Kashmir.

NAIROBI, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Kenya's Nairobi SecuritiesExchange (NSE) turnover on Thursday rose 71 percent to 5.4 millionU.S. dollars on a volume of 14 million shares, up from 12 millionworth 3.2 million dollars in the session a day before, boosted byincreased local investors' trading.
The investors' participation stood at 52 percent as foreignersaccounted for 48 percent of trading, with 66 percent of it beingsales.

MELBOURNE, June 21 (Xinhua) -- A study published on Wednesday has brought Australian researchers a step closer to understanding gene mutations that can cause breast cancer.
Scientists from the University of Melbourne and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre have for the first time accurately established the likelihood that carriers of the BRCA1 and BRCA2 gene mutations will contract cancer.
The BRCA mutations are hereditary issues whereby chromosomes within the BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes, both of which are tumour-suppressing genes, are misplaced, drastically increasing the likelihood of developing breast or ovarian cancer.
The study found that women with the BRCA1 mutation had, on average Air Force 1 Black , a 72 percent chance of developing breast cancer by the time they were 80 years old and a 44 percent likelihood of contracting ovarian cancer.
For women with the BRCA2, the chances were slimmer at 69 and 17 percent respectively for breast and ovarian cancer.
Almost 10,000 women from around the world with the mutations were assessed over 20 years for the landmark study.
John Hopper, lead researcher from the University of Melbourne, said that the fact that researchers were able to analyze the participants and their risk factors over the course of 20 years rather than assess retrospective data made the study the most reliable one done yet.
"Our study looked at women and followed them forward in time. Previous studies had looked backwards, and those studies are prone to getting the wrong answer Air Force 1 White ," Hopper told Xinhua on Wednesday.
"Our estimates were thankfully close to past estimates, but were more accurate, precise and believable."
